Today's sneak peak is that of a simple one. Today it hit me while throwing in a pile of laundry. Hit me like a ton of bricks. The generosity of so many willing to give a little of themselves for someone else. In some cases someone they don't even know. Even some of the smallest of donations seem to be the largest. Reminded me of a favorite scripture " that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass" (Alma 37:6).
You know, this fundraiser started as a small neighborhood idea to forgo our neighborhood Christmas gift giving to help out our neighbors (our friends), to show them support and love at a time when they need it most. It has since evolved into something much larger than we even imagined. Someone told me today, "it reminds me of "It's a Wonderful Life," everyone pitching in to help one another. After all isn't that what life is all about.
Here are some of today's sneak peaks:
- snow removal from a young man for a whole month
- hand-dipped chocolates
- several 12 yr. olds having a Christmas children's day camp
- baked apple pies
- cookies
- babysitting
- more babysitting
- french lessons
- girlie-girl fun fingernail painting
- duo basketball skills class
- handyman services
- car repair
- hair cuts/color
